Cabin was great and I got my turkey
|
|
My wife's brother, his wife, my wife and I stayed for a week. I was the only turkey hunter. They stayed at the cabin while I hunted in the morning and we went sight seeing in the afternoon. Luckily I killed my bird early so we had more time to visit the attractions. This cabin is located about halfway between Mount Rushmore and The Crazy Horse Memorial. Cabin was nice, had everything we needed. Deer and turkeys in the yard almost every day. I've already recommended it to several friends. If you want to shoot a Merriam's turkey, see the Black Hills or like us, both? This cabin is the one.

Great Cabin, Wonderful SD Trip
|
|
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting SD and seeing what the Black Hills and the surrounding national parks had to offer...which was plenty of beautiful scenery, trails to hike, great bison burgers, and just too much more to mention! We thought the cabin was ideal...it is in a central location between Custer and Hill City which makes it easy to visit all the nearby parks, etc. The cabin is very clean, is equipped with a well-stocked kitchen, and the washing machine and dryer are a big plus! Sheralyn was very easy to contact by email or phone and responded back quickly when needed. We would certainly recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the Black Hills!

We'd Return Here in a Heartbeat!
|
|
After much research into hotels, B&Bs, and a variety of cabins in the Black Hills, my husband and I chose Tenderfoot Cabin because it seemed to offer the most for a very reasonable price. Our vacation plans were to tour as much of the Black Hills as we could; Tenderfoot Cabin was centrally located, enabling us to easily reach all points of interest.
The cabin was very clean, and offered all the amenities of home. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, plates, bowls, flatware, glassware, etc. All a guest really needs to bring is whatever food she may want.
There were also supplies of books, DVDs, and indoor and outdoor games.
Prior to arriving, I'd looked up the location of the cabin on Google Earth and saw that the property was adjacent to a main highway. I worried that we'd have the noise of traffic, but it turned out to be a non-issue - the highway is up and the cabin is down in a little valley.
We were visited by white-tail deer each evening, and the creek that meanders around the property added the "music" of moving water to our enjoyment of nature from the porch.
My husband was grateful for the satellite TV and I was glad to have WiFi for making last minute map checks and reservations for tours and dining.
Making reservations and paying for the cabin were easily handled. Check-in was a breeze. Sheralin was great to work with.
We would stay here again, without a doubt!

Clean, quiet, comfortable, nicely furnished. Much better than staying at a motel.

We found the cabin to be comfortable and nicely furnished. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. The radiant heat warmed the cabin and us quickly. Having the propane grill was very handy and saved a lot of washing of pots and pans. It was easy to get to Hill City, Custer and the attractions in the area. We also enjoyed Isabella, The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The laundry washer and dryer were very handy.

We enjoyed our stay immensely and much of that was due to the comfort and ammenties of the Tenderfoot property. We loved having such a comfortable, convenient place to call home during our visit. I was impressed by the cabin's quality inside and out and truly astonished to find the property so sparkling clean and in 100% working order.
