| This is the sixth or seventh time my wife and I have stayed at the Alamanda, twice in the past year. We are one of many who continue to return year after year.
The rooms are a god size with a patio or deck. There are good restaurants in the square which is only a two minute walk from the front door of the hotel. It is even a shorter walk to the beach. The staff is very friendly and very helpful.
The continental breakfast which is included is more than adequate. Their pool is never crowded. I am sure that we will return again on our next trip yo St. Martin.
We always use a room on the first floor since there is no elevator to the second floor. If you have difficulty with stairs I would recommend asking for first floor room.
There are two restaurants in the square I would recommend, Le Piment and L' Petit Bistro. While at this hotel you are also a very short drive to Grand Case where there are many very fine French restaurants , Auerbrage Gourmand and La Villa are two of my favorites.
